10. Depp’s Attorney Wants It Thrown Out: Wasser’s response states that she wants the entire filing denied “in its entirety,” and argues that Heard is only in this for financial gain and to soften her image in the media, given the timing of her divorce filing.

“Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse,” Wasser stated in the court documents. “Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with her financial requests appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce.”

11. Heard Wanted to Keep This Private: The actress’ attorney, Samantha F. Spector revealed in her own declaration that Heard initially wanted to keep everything out of the court and out of the spotlight.

“I stated that, although Amber had been attacked and remained in fear for her safety, given the notoriety of both parties and the high likelihood of press harassment, Amber would prefer to settle the matter amicably out of Court.”

However, Spector claimed she had numerous failed attempts at reaching Depp’s legal team.

In one of the emails included as evidence, Spector wrote to his entertainment lawyer, Jacob Bloom, “In fact, there have been two other incidents in the past six months. Although Amber is afraid of Johnny, she strongly insists that we do everything possible to keep this personal matter out of the media spotlight, which is why she has not yet sought a CLETS DV TRO and why we did not arrange for Johnny to have been personally served at last night’s movie premiere.”

12. What’s Next?: Wasser states in her declaration that Depp will be working out of the country until June 7, at the earliest. Their next court hearing is scheduled for June 17. Since the judge granted Heard’s request for a restraining order against Depp, the actor cannot contact Heard in any way (physically, directly or indirectly via telephone, mail, email electronic), and must stay 100 yards away from her and their residence.

If Depp does not comply with restraining order, he can be arrested and charged with a crime. “You may be sent to jail for up to one year, pay a fine of up to $1,000 or both,” according to the court documents.
