Chadwick Boseman will make cinematic history by debuting Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War. While his true allegiances are still unclear, we know he at least spends a portion of the movie helping Team Iron Man hunting down Steve Rogers and the big game (i.e. Bucky Barnes). We’ve already seen T’Challa spar with The Winter Soldier in the film’s trailers, but now we get up close with the action in a new behind-the-scenes image from the Russo Brothers.

Co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo released the new look on their Instagram, writing, “Working out choreography for the dance scene.” Black Panther is seen pouncing on The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) in what we can guess, based on the promos, is a big chase sequence that also includes a motorcycle getaway attempt. But even that, as we’ve seen, isn’t enough to outrun the Wakandan hero.

Elsewhere, Marvel released the latest TV spot, which sees Black Panther clawing at Cap’s vibranium shield in the big splash page face-off between the two teams. Boseman told EW of the character’s impressive suit, which is made of the same material:

As far as the storytelling is concerned, the vibranium is a metal that is dynamic. It can change how it’s used. It’s not a liquid, but it has the ability to change shape and change form and still have its strength. I think there a lot of things about that in the mythology that I think has a lot of potential in terms of the storytelling…Vibranium is not your typical armor. It’s not just about being durable, it has the ability to absorb energy. It’s not just like you hit it and it doesn’t take it. It has the ability to absorb the attack of another person and repel or respond to that attack. That’s part of the power.

Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters on May 6. Here’s the official plot synopsis:

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
