Perry, who is the most-followed person on Twitter, appeared to have sent a string of homophobic and racist messages before sending a link to an apparent unreleased song on SoundCloud called “Witness.”

The hacked tweets have been deleted from Perry’s account – though the singer has yet to address the incident.
Romanian-based Twitter user sw4ylol appears to have claimed responsibility for the hack, telling Perry users to follow the account before signing off. “#hackersgonnahack,” sw4lol added to the tweet.
The BBC reports the account also shared an image of a copyright claim from Perry’s Universal Music, attached to takedown notice from SoundCloud.
