(Feb. 15, 2016, 2016) – After a jolt of weekend snow and as freezing drizzle falls Monday morning, nearly 40 Indiana counties have some form of travel advisory.

Yellow travel advisories are the lowest level of local traffic alerts. They mean drivers could encounter problems on the roads that could restrict routine travel. Drivers are urged to use extra caution when an advisory is in place.

As of early Monday morning, seven of the nine central Indiana counties had yellow travel advisories: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison and Shelby.

Scott County was under an orange travel watch. That means only essential travel (work commute, emergency travel, etc.) is recommended.
